About Noran
On February 2nd, 2009, Ryan and Jenn Holowaychuk took over as the new owners of Noran Printing. Rance and Norma Miller, who started the business back in 1979, decided it was time to live the good life!!! They have retired and plan to do some much deserved traveling.
Ryan… who was born and raised in the printing industry has 20 plus years of experience. He first started sweeping floors and emptying garbage cans for his dad, Louis Holowaychuk, who owned Kamloops Commercial Press. Ryan’s knowledge of the printing industry and his background in IT make him the perfect fit to expand Noran to new heights. With the support of his wife and family we are very excited to take on this new endeavour.
Business will continue as usual, utilizing the knowledge of Noran’s existing employees, John Patterson and Ted Morris. They have also hired on a new employee, Chelsea Crockett, to take over Lucille’s responsibilities, who also retired at the time of new ownership.
At Noran Printing, we have the capability to do just about anything that has to do with Paper!!! Services we offer include letterheads, business cards, stationery, envelopes, invoices, ticket books, business forms, booklets etc. We are also equipped to print variable data and have added a high speed digital press which will save our customers time and money. If there is something you need please call or stop in, we are still located at 1365C Dalhousie Drive. We look forward to continuing to serve the Kamloops community with a locally owned and operated business that will maintain the excellent service and quality that Noran’s customers have come to appreciate.
Noran Carries on Tradition
You might say that through his veins flows ink, not blood. That’s how long Ryan Holowaychuk has been a part of the world of print here in Kamloops.
As a young lad, Ryan trained at the feel of two of the best in the industry, his parents Louis and Diana Holowaychuk of the former Kamloops Commercial Press. These days, Ryan uses all of the skills he learned as a youngster while also adding a healthy dose of technology and modern savvy. It’s been over a year since Ryan and his wife Jennifer took over Noran Printing - a year of subtle adjustments and lots of growth.
"It’s important to us that we are approachable and affordable," says Ryan, “not only for the big clients, but all across the board. We’re here for you.”
Much like the Kamloops Commercial Press of his youth, Noran is a family operation with Ryan and Jennifer at the helm, Jenn's sister Chelsea driving the front desk, and often both Ryan and Jenn's mums working in the back, or keeping an eye on young Ayden.
"We believe in family," Jennifer says, a philosophy that extends to their long list of regular clients and to the many small non-profits and other organizations that Noran supports in our community. From handbills to calendars, brochures to business cards, Noran does it all - starting with nothing more than a concept, and creating a beautiful reality. And while no one can tell the future, for this young family and Noran Printing, the future looks bright.
